"I want someone to love me, for who I am"
-Nick Jonas

February
came so faaaaasst. Hello Love month!
So, have you scheduled your dates? Whether you celebrate it with a special someone or just alone, be happy. Why? Because . Got it? :)))))

We had our Recollection last Feb. 3, 2010. A truly unremarkable experience.
Kuya Edwin was our facilitator. He was really good on giving encouragements in life.
Not to mention his humorous attitude which is a plus. I just love it when my classmate's tears are about to fall ... he would uplift everyone with a crazzyy joke.

There are rules-- I mean reminders too. 1st, Love is the rule.
2nd, "Kasali lahat, Lahat kasali".
Lastly, respect.
I love his terms too. And, the venue for the recollection was.... cooollddd
Thanks to the Air-conditioners :D

He lead a short prayer (approximately 10-15 minutes). The words he uttered are fascinating. Everyone was quiet, listening to him. Some tears began to fall. I was innocuously holding back mine.

First activity;
He asked us to make some groupings. It was called "Oikos" or small praying family.
We named our group
"G.G.G." or God-Given Group. A logo was present too.
Unfortunately, no one is bringing a camera.
Let me just describe it, We drew a
heart there were 5 people inside, a sun, grass, sky, flowers
and some
trees. We're asked to give some brotherly and unbrotherly ways on our home.

He shared some painful times of his life. One of this was when his beloved dad died. His dad was extremely good at chess. Kuya Eds was good at this sport too. He never won a match with his dad. Until such time came, he won... 2 times in a row. He have a question, unanswered until now. "Talaga bang nanalo ako? o Pinagbigyan lang ako?"

Another was the time when his brother invited him over his new house. He was about to go but, his friends came over. So, he just called his brother canceling his visit. Early in the morning, he was preparing for a trip to Tagaytay (for a retreat). Her aunt called him, saying that His brother died on a heart attack. Everything was painted black and white. He can't cancel the retreat, the show must go on. It was uneasy to give a lecture while your brother is in the funeral. When he came back to manila, he headed straight to the funeral. He was crying like 'bro? why do you left me? I can't do a business without you'. That was indeed painful. Let's do what we need to do.

Second Activity;
We wrote a letter to Jesus. We have to promise one thing to Him, something that we could accomplish or something that we could do everyday. Details are confidential so, better luck next time.

That day, I was reminded of the value of time. I was reminded to praise, thank and love God at all times. I was reminded that I have a family to lean on. I was reminded that I am not alone. I was reminded that life is too short. I was reminded of things I need to do. I was reminded of words I long to say. I was reminded of how a family works. I was reminded to show sympathy on everything I do. I was reminded that God-gave everything to us. I was reminded that God always watch me.

So that's what I learned from a "REcollection". Thanks to HAU~
Comments are highly appreciated.
